Little House, Big Home

May 30

The month of May has been a wonderful whirlwind of not just house projects, but lots of visitors and traveling.  Here are some of my favorite highlights with friends and family narrowed down from hundreds of pictures in just 1 month!

Our semi-homemade Adirondack Chairs… all the wood pieces and hardware were sold together which we assembled and have begun staining. More pics to come when these and the footrests are done!

Cinco de Mayo!

A friend of ours is collecting coasters from everywhere she visits, and while in Colorado she couldn’t find one she loved enough so I made her one! Using a picture I had taken in Aspen with “Colorado” typed over it, I printed and decoupaged it to a rough-edged tile.  The other fun black, white & red set is for another friend and made with scrapbook paper and smooth white tiles.

Wine barrel makeover! We found this barrel at a garage sale a while back and have been using it as a plant stand. I was inspired by all of the rustic, nautical themes I’ve seen lately to spray-paint this antique white (apparently our favorite spray-paint color) and attach a thick manila rope using a hot glue gun.
